I think when we envision a massage chair in our home we picture a product that can take us away from all of the stress and worries of our day – the Kahuna LM6800 is definitely a chair that can do this. It’s the first chair I’ve included on this “best of” list for a reason – it’s packed full of features that will impress even the most ardent critic. Not only does it massage all areas of your body it can provide you with a heated massage if you like as well.

My personal favorite feature of this chair? It has to be the 3-D body scan technology included. If this sounds high-tech, well, it’s because it is – this chair can actually determine where the problem areas are for you and help you to target those areas more intensely. If that’s not quite enough for you then you might be pleased to know that this chair has yoga and Chiro programs built-in as well. It’s quite simply one of the most feature-packed massage chairs on the market.

Osaki OS-4000 model Massage Chair
with Six Auto Programs

My second pick for the best choices among all massage chairs is the Osaki OS-4000; one of the main reasons this chair makes my list is because of its extensive auto program choices. There are six different ones to choose from and chances are you’ll find a massage program that works for you in this list. You can choose from healthcare, relax, therapy, Smart, circulation, and demo. It’s a list of choices that’s designed to provide you with the right option no matter what the circumstance.

There are a couple of other features packed into this chair that are also quite impressive, including its intelligent massage robot technology and the six different massage styles you can choose. The intelligent massage robot actually learns to target your problem areas based on your reoccurring choices. As for the six different massage styles you can select, they include some familiar choices such as Shiatsu and Swedish massage.

Shiatsu Chair with Built in Heat

Our final electric massage chair to make the “best of” list is the Shiatsu Chair with Built in Heat by RelaxOnChair. As you might have guessed, one of the main reasons this chair makes the list is because of its built-in heat function. There’s nothing quite like a massage with a little extra heat involved to loosen those tight and tired muscles from a stressful day. My current massage chair doesn’t include heat so to get the same effect I’d need to enjoy a nice massage on the chair and then hop in a hot bath to soothe the muscles afterwards. If you find yourself in the same boat then a chair like this is something you may want to strongly consider.

While the heat feature is great, that isn’t the only thing this chair has going for it. It also does a good job of giving you a full-body massage for your lower regions such as your lower back and buttocks. It has built-in rollers that mimic the human touch nicely and reach right down to every hard-to-reach area on your body.

Zyllion ZMA-14-BK Shiatsu Cushion with Heat

Not everyone has the space or the budget for a massage chair in their home, but there is another nice alternative – a massage cushion. The first one of these on our list is the Zyllion ZMA-14-BK. It provides you with portable massage convenience that actually has adjustable moving nodes you can adjust to provide a satisfying massage no matter what your measurements are.

The next massage cushion to make our list is the Homedics QRM-400H. One of the great features of this massage cushion is that it has a custom command track that allows you to adjust the width to suit your body type, and there are eight different settings to choose from. Let’s face it, we’re not all the same shape and size so it’s comforting to know that a product like this has taken that into account.

The reason this massage cushion really stands out from the pack, though, is because of the four independent rollers it uses to provide you with a great massage. By including the ability for these rollers to act independently, the manufacturer has been able to simulate a true massage experience that you might typically get from a real Shiatsu practitioner. It’s impressive to find such a feature built into a massage cushion.

Gideon Seat Cushion Vibrating Massager with Heat Therapy

While I’d probably prefer a massage cushion with built-in rollers if I can find it, I still thought it was important to include my best choice for massage cushions with vibrating massage in this list as well. The Gideon massage cushion doesn’t have the built-in rollers like the other products we’ve reviewed here, but it does provide one of the most intense vibrating massage experiences possible. It does this by using 10 different vibration points designed to reach every part of your back from your upper to your lower quadrants.

The other feature of this chair that I think definitely bears mentioning is that it comes equipped with two different heating zones. This chair not only provides an intensive heat experience for your lower back, but it also provides the same experience for your buttocks. It’s a great way to relax and a feature that certainly helped to convince me that this cushion deserved to make the short list.
